Work Begins on Second Mulit-tenant Building
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –Frew Development Group, LLC is pleased to announce that construction of the second multi-tenant building along Edgewood Road will begin this spring. The 7,500 square foot building will be located adjacent to and north of the new US Bank building. Aspect Architecture is designing the building, and Compass Commercial Services will execute construction with completion anticipated by this fall.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will tenant 3,300 square feet of the building and will employ close to 80 staff. This will be Freddy’s third location in Iowa, and opening is expected before Thanksgiving. As for the remaining space, Dave Drown, leasing agent with GLD Commercial, said “Leasing activity on the remaining space in the Freddy’s building is brisk, with several letters of intent in the works. We are also in discussions with two, new to the market, free-standing restaurants for the two remaining outlots on Edgewood Road.”
